Quest Story: The Proposal

  • Quest #39
  • Lasts from June 18, 2012 - July 23, 2012

Commander, we've got to give these peace talks one more try and if we don't succeed, yet again, I've got other things in mind. I'll send the invites, you just have to show up and be nice.

Hint: Pestonia is a less wealthy, very backward country that shares a huge chunk of border with you and they often take advantage of that.

Quest Hook: Your corrupt neighbors require a bit of pacifying. Previous attempts at peace have failed so be prepared with a back-up plan.

Quest Pop-up: This shaky political relationship we have with our neighbor needs to stabilize. We're constantly facing threats of terrorism. I suggest one more round of peace talks and if that doesn't work, well... we'll see.

1 - Guest Appearance

Alright, our favorite delegates are here. Let's get this over with, shall we? Remember, whatever happens, do not lose your temper, this is on national television.

  • Ask for {total} Cups of Coffee to keep you going.
  • Collect from {total} Houses to make arrangements for the delegate dinner later.
  • Harvest {total} Corn for the delegate's dinner later tonight.

Well, I can't say I'm surprised. All our previous attempts at peace talks have failed miserably. Now we just have to return to our routines and wait for something to happen.

2 - The Scarlett Letter

Commander, I'm not sure if you've heard by now but Pestonia has made us an offer. The very spoiled only son of their leader wants my hand in marriage in exchange for peace. I might just go over there and give him a hand of something.

  • Collect {total} Scented Candles to calm Scarlett's nerves.
  • Gather {total} {Ore} to build units. It looks like we've got a war ahead of us.
  • Destroy {total} Air Units in Battle. They could be enemy units.

Our ministers are outraged, as am I. This will not stand in our nation. What century are we living in? I'm going to draft a response myself and save him the heartbreak.

3 - The Field Day

The official declination of their officially outrageous proposal has been sent. But we have another problem. Someone has tipped the media off about this and now they've surrounded my house!

  • Collect {total} CCTV Cameras to help keep Scarlett safe.
  • Earn {total} Red Hearts to keep your reputation up no matter what happens next.
  • Complete {total} waves in Survival Mode to prepare for the upcoming madness.

Last night I found a reporter in my kitchen, making himself a sandwich. Needless to say I clubbed him over the head with his own camera and sent him flying through the same window he used to break in.

4 - Angry Neighbors

Commander, Pestonia has resorted to petty acts of terrorism. This one could not be intercepted and we have a few casualties. I suggest not reacting rashly; let's give them a stern warning.

  • Get {total} Paramedics on the scene to help with the casualties.
  • Win {total} Battle Blitz fights to prepare for the possibility of war.
  • Fight Pestonian insurgents that have snuck in at the border.

The Pestonians are really pushing their luck. We've sent them a very stern warning message. If they know what's good for them, this will be the last attack we'll see.

5 - Putting the Pest in Pestonia

Our border forces have intercepted another terrorist attack and they've taken in the perpetrators. It looks like our stern warning has had little effect on the Pestonian government and I'm running out of patience.

  • Recruit {total} Border Security Forces to strengthen security at the border with Pestonia.
  • Get {total} Domination Warchests to send Pestonia a blaring message.
  • Use Experimental Abilities in battle {total} times.

Our Border Security Forces are now on high alert and ready to attack. One more act of hostility from Pestonia and we'll get rid of the problem altogether.

6 - The Last Fire

Commander, Pestonian forces have initiated fire at the border. They are now engaging in battle. What is our plan of action?

  • Collect {total} Emergency Deployment Kits. We're sending in the troops.
  • Deploy {total} Tanks to battle Pestonian Forces.
  • Deal {total} damage using Land Units.

The situation at the border has been contained and we've got our troops prepped and ready for deployment. Let's get rid of these pests once and for all.

7 - The Final Battle

This is a take-over mission with minimum casualties. Let's go in there and do our jobs, no flash, no fuss. This is the last time Pestonia wastes our time.

  • Collect {total} Portable Speakers to communicate with the civilians.
  • Pillage {total} times to successfully take over Pestonia.
  • Win {total} World Domination fights, one Pestonia at a time.

That was just as easy as we thought it would be. Why would a nation like Pestonia with the most basic military capability, challenge a nation like us? Well, they got what was coming.

8 - Peace and Quiet

Now that we've overthrown those incompetent leaders, we can give the people of Pestonia a real chance at peace. Let's start by rebuilding all the damaged areas.

  • Gather {total} Volunteers to help with the Pestonian relief program.
  • Harvest {total} Wheat to help feed the victims of war in Pestonia.
  • Build {total} Air Units to survey Pestonia during this fragile time.

This was a mess I was hoping we could avoid but it looks like Pestonia is going to have a better, brighter future now.

Final Rewards

Congratulations! You earned 5x SpecOps Ghillie Suit Infantry!
