Former Zynga Employee Bashes Zynga


A lot of articles have come out recently about a former Zynga employee bashing Zynga.  Some noteworthy tidbits:
  • Customers paying more than $10,000 in a year--they're called whales or Zynga Black
  • Zynga as a marketing company, not a game company
  • Designing games for behavior rather than fun
  • Zynga's reliance on metrics and user data
  • "brogrammers"--I've never heard that term before, so it was interesting to learn it
