Quest Story: Destination: Moon

  • Quest #35
  • Lasts from May 21, 2012 - ?

We've had our sights set on the moon for quite a while now. I've been working on a prototype rocket and I really think this one's the one. All I have to do is persuade the board.

Quest Hook: Dr. G. Owari's prototype rocket could just be that you were looking for. Keep your fingers crossed and hope that the board approves of her proposal.

Quest Pop-up: Commander, what would you say if I told you I could take you and anybody else to the moon? I have a proposal to make, a prototype rocket. If the board agrees, we could soon start building our very first rocket! Welcome to the future!

1 - The Proposal

They're going to call me in any minute now. Surprisingly, I'm not nervous. Wish me luck Commander. We might be going to the moon very soon!

Red Hearts could do you good, even in outer space.

  • Ask for {total} Government Seals to put on the proposal packets.
  • Collect from {total} Houses to fund Owari's extremely high-tech presentation.
  • Collect {total} red hearts, it's good for your PR.

Alright, the session is in progress. Owari looked calm and confident, let's hope she maintains that throughout the meeting.

2 - The Waiting Room

The tension in the air is thick. I can feel it with my hands, Commander. I know I nailed that presentation, but they looked skeptical. All my hard work is on the line, I really hope I get the go ahead.

The Ore will come in handy even if you don't get to build a rocket.

  • Collect {total} Voting Cards to give to the voting council.
  • Collect {total} Strawberries. The voting council likes them.
  • Collect {total} {Ore}. If the council approves, you can get started immediately.

The decision is out. We are building a rocket! Congratulations, Dr. G. Owari, you are going to lead us into the future!

3 - Celebrate Good Times

Come on! Let's celebrate. This is the biggest day of my career. Bring out that bottle of champagne that you 'don't' have stashed around here somewhere!

Neighbors are naturally nosy, and hence, very jealous. Be wary of them.

  • Collect {total} Champagne Flutes to celebrate with Dr. G. Owari.
  • Fight as part of an Astronaut Training Exercise.
  • Pillage neighbors {total} times to warn them not to interfere with your new endeavor.

That was a good party, now to get to work. We need to put together a team of the best engineers, astronauts and personnel.

4 - Take Off!

Okay, Commander, we're all set to countdown. Can you feel the excitement? The entire nation is electric with anticipation. Let's do one last security check and then we can begin.

Security is of the utmost importance. Your entire empire is out on the streets today.

  • Get {total} Big Screens to telecast the launch across the nation.
  • Gather {total} Oil to power your standby units.
  • Use {total} Power-Ups in Battles to prove your military strength.

And 3... 2... 1... Wait, what just happened?! Where did the power go? I can't see a thing. There's chaos everywhere, the entire nation is in darkness. Get our backup generators running right now!

5 - National Emergency

We're officially in a state of national emergency. The prototype along with all the plans and most of our lab equipment has been taken. Curfew must be imposed. Let's get our police forces out on the streets. We need to do a nation-wide search.

Be relentless, this is no small matter.

  • Gather {total} Search Agents to scour the nation for any possible leads.
  • Beat up the usual suspects for information. Fight {total} Battle Blitz fights.
  • Gain {total} Energy through visiting friends. You'll need it.

Commander, your agents tell me they've found a man with some information. Let me talk to him please... I need to find out where my rocket is!

6 - The Interrogation Room

I think he's finally cracking under the pressure... I still think you should let me talk to him though, Commander. I'll have it all out of him in a matter of minutes.

Owari is unstable, she shouldn't be allowed to conduct an interrogation. Keep her distracted.

  • Hire {total} Interrogation Experts to extract information out of our suspect.
  • Gather {total} Black Hearts. They don't fear you for nothing.
  • Deploy {total} Fighters around your empire.

The Dark Alliance definitely had a part to play in this but we need to know who specifically and their location. The man doesn't know much but he had a communication device on him that can be traced to the origin of manufacture.

7 - Investigation Underway

Our complex, intense investigation brought us to Baron Crashalot. We haven't heard from him in a while. This isn't surprising seeing as Crashalot loves to fly. The only problem is, he crashes everything he flies. If he breaks my rocket, I'll break his... something important.

Blue Blood is Crashalot's go-to man on any mission. We found him pretty easily so let's get as much out of him as we can.

  • Collect {total} Forensics Lab Equipment to finish your investigation.
  • Battle Baron Crashalot's side kick, Blue Blood, for information on Crashalot.
  • Deal {total} damage to enemy units in Combat.

Breaking news, an unidentified object has crashed smack bang in the middle of an empire not so far from here. Commander, I think we've found Baron Crashalot.

8 - Large Scale Apology

Crashalot is in their custody but the bigger problem is explaining what our rocket was doing in someone else's airspace. We have to deal with the casualties and all the damage caused by the crash.

It's okay, these things happen. Sometimes.

  • Gather {total} Recovery Teams to carefully extract your damaged rocket out of the crash site.
  • Deploy {total} Gunboats, just in case this turns out to be a war.
  • Collect from {total} Government structures to pay for damage control.

This is an embarrassing day for us but at least we've got our rocket back and hey... it could have been a lot worse.
