The Gordon Bomber

The Gordon will be the next and ninth (and last?) Tier 8 unit of the Crimson Hand Battalion to be released.  It is a Bomber with base Strength of 900 and comes fully upgraded with 1080 Strength--the same as for the Triton Carrier and the Artemis, and higher than that of the first six Tier 8 units.  The Gordon Bomber's item code is UB30.

"Gordon" does not appear to be part of Greek mythology, which breaks the pattern of the other Tier 8 units.  However, the word is very similar to "Gorgon".  There was also the Fairey Gordon, a British light bomber from the 1930's.  Perhaps Gordon is the name of a Zynga employee working on Empires & Allies.

The Gordon was "unofficially" released on X, 2012.  It was officially released on X, 2012 (depending on your time zone.)


Tier 8 Units

So far, the list of special Tier 8 units is:

If there's going to be exactly one Tier 8 unit per unit class, then the list is complete.  Perhaps regular Tier 8 units--that can be built--will be released within a few weeks or months.  This is supported by the recent "Tier Rebalancing" that lowered the level requirements of some units.  Something similar happened just before Tier 7 units were released.  Perhaps also, special Tier 9 units will be introduced and offered for sale at an outrageous price.
